History
Springfield Angus was formed in 1976 starting with a small group of performance cattle. The depth and quality of our program have progressed over the years and continues to improve.
We market cattle twice a year with our Female Production Sale being the 2nd Saturday in May and our Bull Sale is the 2nd Saturday of December. At present, we are calving 250 females with over 50% of those calves will come from our embryo transplant program.
Our present breeding program represents a balance of low to moderate birth weights, extreme growth traits and performance along with strong maternal, growth and carcass genetics utilizing the breed's most proven sires.
Our goals are:
- Provide cattle to producers that excel in all areas.
- A yearly, on-farm bull test to help our customers sort our bulls better.
- Market Bulls through private treaty and/or Bull sales.
- Market replacement females through private treaty and/or production sales.
- Serve customers with marketing assistance.
